Reducing Environmental Impact through Circular Economy Integration

We maintain strict control over our product quality and continuously obtain ISO 9001 & TL 9001 quality management system certificates. Various green management systems are implemented according to our business nature, allowing us to monitor the environmental impacts of our products at all stages.

Our subsidiaries' products are distributed through e-commerce platforms' green channels to minimize environmental impacts from sales. Additionally, we develop marketing programs for our green products to encourage customer purchases and provide environmental education.

We have initiated a product carbon footprint labeling project to meet customer demands for information on carbon emissions and facilitate green marketing by transparently disclosing product carbon footprints.

Three Principles of Green Product Design

The goal of Zyxel green products is to minimize the impact of products on the environment. We are committed to optimizing product energy efficiency and reducing materials used to cope with climate change. We comply with international regulations and requirements, including but not limited to 2009/125/EC and amending Regulation (EC) No 1275/2008, ENERGY STAR - Small Network Devices, and the European Union Code of Conduct (CoC).

In addition to optimizing product energy efficiency, our green products use low-power external power supplies, all of which comply with the European Union's ErP Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009, the US CEC of the United States, and Canada's CSA C381.1-08 to reduce product usage energy loss.

By doing so, we incorporate environmental impact assessment into the design process, aiming to minimize direct and indirect environmental impacts. This approach aligns with our goal of eco-friendly, ecological, and sustainable product design and manufacturing.

Since 2021, we've developed a product carbon calculation platform and life cycle assessment software database. These tools quantify environmental impacts from design to manufacturing, presenting them as carbon, water, and ozone indicators. We translate these into health and resource metrics, providing customers with environmental assessments, supporting our net-zero emissions commitment.

We combine virtual websites with physical stores for online sales through e-commerce platforms, reducing marketing costs and environmental impacts. Our B2C service platform, Zyxel Marketplace, offers an online security license subscription. We've also launched Zyxel Store in Europe for direct hardware equipment purchases, expanding our online marketing services.
