ZyXEL Vantage CNM 2.3 Offers Powerful Security Management
Hsinchu, March 1, 2007-- ZyXEL Communications (TSE: 2391), world's leading broadband access solutions provider, today unveils the Vantage CNM 2.3 that features centralized UTM management for license and policy enforcements, one-click VPN, as well as group device operation for massive firmware upgrades, policy installations and backup/restoration. In addition, Vantage CNM 2.3 also supports real-time monitoring, alerting and graphic reporting.
On top of ZyWALL's capabilities to define, distribute and enforce a full range of UTM services and policies in a distributed environment, Vantage CNM 2.3 allows IT managers to easily apply, monitor and update security license information through the license monitor that simplifies the subscription and management processes. To add more convenience, e-mail notifications are generated automatically to remind IT managers of service renewal dates when customer licenses are going to expire.
Vantage CNM 2.3 offers a graphical user interface for administrators to create VPN (Virtual Private Network) tunnels by simply clicking on a device and drag a "tunnel" to another. This not only makes VPN configuration much easier, but also reduces the time and cost involved in VPN operations.
Vantage CNM 2.3 is an integrated management tool that enables IT staff to administer devices from a central location; such as conducting group firmware upgrades or performing unattended periodic upgrades. Security policy changes can be applied across a group of devices in response to a security threat incidence. Administrator can also backup and restore the configuration of a whole group of devices, and it can even restore just a specific device when needed.
By way of Vantage CNM's centralized logging and alerting features, administrators can monitor device conditions and identify their online/offline status at a glance. Should an incident happen, Vantage CNM 2.3 proactively notifies the administrator by visual icons and email alerts.
Moreover, Vantage CNM 2.3 offers a comprehensive set of more than 50 historical reports, including firewall/virus/intrusion attacks, bandwidth usage, Web site usage, user activity and more. Administrators can analyze network usage and be aware of suspicious activities or even attacks with the intuitive drill-down reports.
