Hsinchu, Taiwan, May 18, 2009 -- ZyXEL Communications (TSE: 2391), a world leader in broadband access solutions, has launched its newest N-lite wireless solutions, the NBG-417N N-lite wireless home router and the NWD-270N N-lite wireless USB adapter for notebook and desktop PC users who demand a high-performance home network connection at the best price.
NBG-417N and NWD-270N the new wireless N-lite series featuring 802.11n technology provides users of next-generation networks with significant savings. The compact and plug-and-play design not only makes it possible to easily upgrade network performance but it also supports backward compatibility with existing 802.11b/g devices. With a data transmission rate of up to 150 Mbps, the ZyXEL Wireless N-lite series delivers three times faster speed and increases more coverage than an 802.11g wireless network, yet it is available at an attractive price compared with the 802.11g wireless network.
With Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) technology that prioritizes different data traffic, the NBG-417N enhances users'experiences in triple-play applications. Featuring an eco-friendly wireless scheduler, the device can be configured on or off automatically, depending on the wireless usage pattern. Users can control wireless connections and reduce wasted power consumption. In addition, the six-level output power controlling capability enables users to easily adjust the output power to reduce interference caused by neighboring access points in high-density wireless deployment areas.
By plugging a NWD-270N wireless USB adapter into a notebook or desktop PC, home and office users can immediately gain wireless network access to transfer files or stream media around the entire home or office with a high-speed connection. Equipped with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), both the NBG-417N and the NWD-270N offer users an easy way to activate wireless networks by pushing the WPS button.
