ZyXEL Reveals New 802.11g ADSL VoIP IADs for Office Data and Phone Communication

Integrated Broadband Access, Wireless Mobile and Voice Over IP Enable All-in-one Services

Hsinchu, September 21, 2004--ZyXEL Communications (TSE:2391), world's leading broadband access solutions provider, today announces two powerful, all-in-one ADSL VoIP IAD designed for telcos and IP telephony service providers (ITSP): ZyXEL P-2602HW and P-2602HWL. Boasting high-speed ADSL access, IEEE 802.11g high-speed wireless connectivity and two POTS ports for Voice over IP, the P-2602HW Series offers business-class features capable of fulfilling SOHO/SMB's network connection and VoIP application demands.

The ZyXEL P-2602HW Series supports open SIP (Session Initiation Protocol, RFC 3261) multimedia protocol to ensure interoperability with other SIP-based equipments; and its Web-based configuration and Auto-provisioning significantly decrease the installation costs for service providers as well. In addition, ZyXEL P-2602HW's highly flexible VoIP platform features Multiple SIP and voice channels for convenient design and deployment of VoIP services.

As a part of the safe corporate network, the ZyXEL P-2602HW Series supports firewall and VPN, and provides complete SPI, DoS and Web Content Filtering features that are critical to the office network security.

Availability
The ZyXEL P-2602HW Series is currently available. ZyXEL offers P-2602HW Series-61/63/67 for three different ADSL specifications -- ADSL over POTS/ISDN/U-R2; while ZyXEL P-2602HWL works with conventional PSTN and VoIP phones simultaneously.
