The fire-resistant and low- smoke characteristics allow NWA-3160/NWA-3163 to be installed in air handling spaces, such as the areas above suspended ceilings.

Compared to other competing products, ZyXEL NWA-3160/NWA-3163's unique Auto Traffic Classifier (ATC) with Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) feature can automatically prioritize traffics and even take care of non WMM compliant traffic. To shield wireless communication at the source, WPA/WPA2 with strong new encryption technology supports the standard security.

For businesses concerning about capability and security, the enterprise- class NWA-3160 802.11a/b/g dual- band access point is capable of covering the whole spectrum for flexible and efficient Wi-Fi network planning with up to 22 non- overlapping channels and rouge AP detection. In the mean time, ZyXEL also announces NWA-3163 equipped with high-power 802.11 b/g radio to significantly improve coverage especially for SMB and environments like shopping malls, campuses and hospitals.
