The V660 is a SIP-based Windows Mobile 5.0® dual-mode IP Phone for next generation communication. In addition to utilizing the proven GSM / WiFi dual-mode voice technology, the V660 uses the Windows Mobile 5.0® operating system to further expand the usability and functionality of this extremely versatile handset. With a built-in 1.3M pixel camera, an MP3/MP4 player and the camcorder/recorder on the Windows Mobile® platform, users can access the Internet, listen to music and take or review pictures using the easy-to-carry V660 handset which also functions as a mobile phone. When fully charged, the included 1100mAh Li-ion battery provides up to 3 hours of talk time on the V660.

"V660 empowers user with VoIP phone calls when WiFi access is available as well as internet access by embedded Windows Mobile." said Albert Ju, Senior Assistant VP of Telco/ISP CPE Business Unit at ZyXEL. The V660 routes calls based on network availability, optimizing cost and quality of service (QoS). The V660 automatically searches for a WiFi hotspot and uses standard encryption methods such as WPA/WPA2/TLS as well as Virtual Private Network (VPN) support to ensure secure VoWLAN calls. The V660 is configurable, providing Business users with a hassle-free and flexible approach to mobile communications.

The integrated Pocket MSN technology gives V660 users direct access to MSN services including MSN Hotmail, MSN Messenger and MSN Alerts. This allows users to communicate using MSN Messenger anywhere and get real-time updates of MSN Hotmail messages at the same time.

In addition, users can use the V660 to access a wide range of Microsoft applications such as Pocket Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and Pocket Outlook for email, calendar and contact information. To ensure compatibility, the V660 uses the Microsoft ActiveSync platform to transfer data. More information on ZyXEL V660, please visit the company's website at http://www.zyxel.com
