Shun-I Chu Named President of ZyXEL Communications Co.
Hsinchu, Taiwan, November 27 -- ZyXEL today announced that Dr. Shun-I Chu, the founder of ZyXEL Communications, has been named as the company's new President, a position he previously held on founding the company until 1998 with the arrival of Mr. Shin-Jou Fang. Mr. Fang has resigned for personal reasons but will remain to serve as ZyXEL strategy development consultant. These new appointments are effective from December 1st, 2000.

"In addition to having a complete understanding of the networking industry, Mr. Fang has successfully established ZyXEL as the leading brand in the SOHO router market. Furthermore, he also created one of the most dynamic and competitive broadband businesses in ZyXEL, helping the company achieve remarkable success in the DSL CPE business this year, "Dr. Chu added.
