ZyXEL Introduces Its All-in-one Connectivity Solution for Small Businesses
Feb. 12, 2015 – London, UK – ZyXEL Communications has introduced a series of Small Business Gateways (SBG series) that allow small businesses to benefit from high-speed and extensive internet services through an easily manageable solution. Providing fast and reliable connectivity, ZyXEL’s SBG series presents the all-in-one solution to enhance network performance and enable the cost-effective and streamlined communication that small businesses require to operate efficiently.
ZyXEL is a global leader in broadband networking technology that provides a comprehensive portfolio of wired and wireless network solutions for telecommunications service providers, small- to medium-sized businesses and home users.
ZyXEL’s SBG3300-N, SBG3500-N and SBG3600-N combine all the key features needed for a multi-functional network solution. The gateways host multiple Wide Area Network (WAN) interfaces and can therefore support a range of broadband connections including ADSL, VDSL, Ethernet, Fibre and even mobile broadband connections. ZyXEL SBG3500-N/SBG3600-N series are extremely flexible and can use the Small Form Pluggable (SFP) interface to connect Fiber Ethernet for distances much longer than Gigabit networks, or simply connect to other Ethernet WAN devices without additional cost laying new fiber. The SBG3600-N even enlarges the mobile options by offering LTE multi band (3G & LTE dual mode) mobile broadband access for superior business services and seamless mobile access. The series also supports advanced VDSL2 bonding and vectoring, allowing small businesses to upgrade from ADSL to VDSL and benefit from increased internet speeds of up to 100Mbps, without changing their ZyXEL box. This is especially useful for growing businesses seeking a flexible network solution customized to their needs.
With advanced, in-built security features, ZyXEL’s SBG series also provides first-line defence against harmful threats and ensures the network remains protected internally. This becomes more relevant as an increasing number of employees are looking to embrace flexible working practices and want to use the same web or cloud-based applications and devices that they use in their personal lives. While small businesses need to keep pace with this trend, from an IT perspective, network security has never been more important. Additionally, the SBG3300-N’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) empowers small businesses to provide secure connections to remote workers and multiple office sites and consequently maintains the protection of external corporate networks, too.
Alongside reduced operational expenditure and enhanced service reliability, the SBG series’ integrated WLAN controller makes it simple to add more Access Points (APs) and respond to the needs of a growing business through maximum connectivity.
Thorsten Kurpjuhn, Market Development Manager of ZyXEL, commented: "Small businesses want to focus on running their business, improving their customer service and outshining the competition. They do not want to be sidetracked by a consistently poor-performing and low-security network. Our new range of Small Business Gateways are designed to provide a secure and cost-effective solution to the connectivity needs of a growing business. The SBG series accommodates for employees looking to adopt modern-day working methods and by ensuring the highest degree of security."
