After making the difficult decision to tear down the aging Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium, Budapest officials hoped that its second incarnation would soon follow. Their hopes would not be in vain, as the new stadium opened roughly two years after the demolition of the old one. A year later, in the western city of Szombathely, a similar project was being completed: the construction of Haladás Sports Complex. In both cases, the developer teams believed that Zyxel’s powerful, cost-effective solutions would deliver the ideal network infrastructure. Aiming to meet the WiFi demands of thousands of fans, as well as the wired and wireless needs of athletes, staff, and management, two new stadiums in different parts of the country would require creative, cutting-edge network solutions; Zyxel delivered two winners.
