Combining an ADSL router with a robust firewall and VPN capability, the new Prestige 652 series needs no additional firewall devices on the network or VPN software on the workstations. These value-added features, along with the ease of usage and manageability, provide a secure, high speed Internet access that today's businesses require.

IPSec VPN Capability Ensures Secure Site-to-Site Communications
The Prestige 652's IPSec VPN uses data encryption to provide transparent and secure transmission over the Internet between two or more sites. Not only does this translate into secure protection for data, it also provides immense cost savings by eliminating costly leased lines. The Prestige 652 provides two IPSec connections, which is based on the IPSec standard and is fully interoperable with other IPSec-based VPN products.

Robust Firewall and Content Filtering
ZyWALL features robust firewall, including stateful packet inspection, Denial of Service (DoS) attack prevention, content filtering, as well as real time attack alert and logs. These powerful features prevent unauthorized access, theft, destruction and modification of data from outside hackers.

Ease of installation and Use
The Prestige 652's pre-configured factory settings benefit both the service provider and their customers, by eliminating the time and technical expertise required. With an embedded Web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), all functions of the Prestige are software configurable via a user-friendly Web browser. These features dramatically reduce the capital and deployment costs for service providers and system integrators, creating a low cost, easy to deploy solution.

Multiple-flavor ADSL Standard
Designed for high-speed Internet browsing and LAN-to-LAN connections to remote networks, the Prestige 652 integrates a high-speed 10/100Mbps auto-negotiating LAN interface and a high-speed ADSL port into a single package. It can support Multi-mode ADSL standards, which allows downstream transmission rates of up to 8Mbps and upstream transmission rates of 832 Kbps. The Prestige 652 is compatible with all major ADSL DSLAM providers. In case of DSL service interruption, the Dial Backup feature enables no-stop Internet access by automatically switching traffic to and external analog or ISDN modem.

Availability
The Prestige 652 series include the Prestige 652R-11 and the Prestige 652R-13. The Prestige 652R-11 supports ADSL over POTS lines while the Prestige 652R-13 supports ADSL over ISDN for regions that have a substantial install base of ISDN customers. The Prestige 652 series is scheduled to be available in May 2002, and can be purchased through ZyXEL's worldwide sales networks, including directly from the company and through the company's service provider partners.
