ZyXEL Introduces New Broadband Access Solutions at CommunicAsia 2002 in Singapore

Hsinchu, June 14, 2002 -- ZyXEL Communications Co. (TAI:2391.TW) a leading broadband access solution provider, today announced that it will demonstrate its latest broadband access solutions at CommunicAsia 2002 trade show in Singapore from June 17-21 in Booth 3D3-02. With the recent technological advances, ZyXEL will present an elaborated selection of new products for both central office equipment (COE) and customer premise equipment (CPE).

For central office equipment, ZyXEL will be showing the AES and PES series broadband switches as well as IES series IP DSLAMs, which enables service providers to offer a wide range of DSLs for the central office and in-building applications.

In addition, ZyXEL will be showcasing the complete DSL CPE products for the SOHO and SMB with the Prestige 300, 600 and 700 series, and the ZyWALL Internet security gateway that delivers a robust firewall and VPN feature set for today's businesses.

IP DSLAM and Broadband Switches
Two IP DSLAMs, the ADSL/G.shdsl IP-Based Mini DSLAM, IES-1000 and the ADSL/G.shdsl/VDSL IP-based DSLAM, IES-3000, will be in the limelight throughout the whole event. For service providers seeking affordable Multi-Tenant Unit (MTU) solution, ZyXEL will be exhibiting the AES-100 ADSL Ethernet switch and the PES-1014 HPNA Ethernet switch.

Internet Security Gateway
ZyXEL will also highlight products targeting the Internet security market. The display will address network security with the ZyWALL 50 and 100 Firewall. The ZyWALL series is designed with an appropriate numbers of VPN tunnels that may differ with different ZyWALL models. The ZyWALL series feature VPN, robust firewall, and Internet content filtering, which provide a significant cost savings and protection for business users.

DSL CPE Solution
As the industry leader in DSL CPE provider, ZyXEL will feature a range of solutions from its Prestige 600 and 700 lines, a well-established portfolio of ADSL and G.shdsl bridges/routers specifically designed to meet the needs of SOHO and small businesses.
