ZyXEL Integrates Kaspersky Lab’s Technologies into Next-Generation UTM Firewalls

Sep 22, 2014 – Hsinchu, Taiwan – ZyXEL Communications and Kaspersky Lab are glad to announce that the newly introduced line of ZyXEL’s next-generation UTM firewalls are integrated with Kaspersky Lab’s breakthrough anti-malware technologies. This integration and long-term cooperation bring comprehensive and real-time protection against malware threats for business networks.

The newly introduced ZyXEL’s Next Generation UTM, USG (Unified Security Gateway) series, combines high performance speeds with an comprehensive feature set that address the complex issues facing today’s businesses. Business no longer need to worry about network threats, spam or social networking sites decreasing productivity. The all-new USG Series is built with a completely new hardware and software platform to deliver class-leading firewall, VPN, and UTM throughputs. ZyXEL’s USG series is arranged into three series: Extreme (USG1100 and USG1900), which provides high availability, robust service and simplified management for medium to large sized businesses, Advanced (USG110, USG210, and USG310), which offers specific features to provide secure and always-online network protection for small-to-medium-sized businesses, and Performance (USG40, USG40W, USG60, and USG60W) that offers truly integrated security for remote offices, retail locations and small businesses. By taking the full advantage of Kaspersky Lab’s cloud-enabled security intelligence, SafeStream II enables ZyXEL's Next Generation USGs to filter the most dangerous and widespread malware from network traffic at wire speed. Among the threats successfully blocked are viruses, worms, Trojans, zero-day exploits, malicious web-sites and harmful HTML scripts, and malicious activity of mobile applications.
