The GS1510 Series has environmental awareness, along with Gigabit Ethernet speeds, critical for next-generation network applications. The traffic detection feature of GS1510 Series automatically detects network traffic and adjusts power consumption, accordingly, in a dynamic manner. It reduces power consumption during periods of low-link utilization. When any network device shuts down, the inactive link is detected, and the device automatically adjusts its power usage. Also, the device is equipped with a green feature which can automatically detect the length of connected Ethernet cables - the shorter the cable length, the less power it consumes. With the auto MDI/MDI-X feature, the GS1510 Series eliminates the need for crossover cables when connecting to another switch. Through SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and the Web-Based GUI, it provides two modes: the Smart Mode and Advanced Mode, that enable small businesses to quickly set up the features. In addition, the device provides Auto-Discovery Tool to help the network administrator locate the IP address easily.
