Hisnchu, Taiwan, November 26, 1999 - ZyXEL Communications Corporation, the leading provider of Internet access solutions, today announced immediate availability of its new omni.net USB ISDN terminal adapter which incorporates USB and ISDN technology for users to take full advantage of high-speed ISDN connectivity in both Windows and Macintosh environment.

Designed to connect PCs and iMACs to an ISDN service, ZyXEL's omni.net USB is an ideal solution for SOHO users browsing the Web, accessing corporate Intranet, receiving e-mails, and much more. The pocket-sized, plug-and-play, and simple LED indicator design makes omni.net USB completely portable to meet the dynamic demands of today's rapidly increasing telecommuters and mobile users.

Featuring next generation's USB interface, ZyXEL's omni.net USB allows inexperienced users to easily connect this device to their desktops or laptops. As users plug in the USB cables, their computers will automatically detect the omni.net USBs immediately. A step by step configuration wizard will lead the users to complete the installation and configuration procedure in five minutes from their Windows 98 OS or MacOS 8.6 and higher OS.

Best Performance, Least Cost.
The omni.net USB supports the PPP Multilink protocol in client mode, and ensures highest possible throughput on USB port. Moreover, users can take advantage of USB capability from maximum transmission speed of up to 12Mbps between the computer and the omni.net USB, as well as a bus powered convenience which eliminates the requirement of additional power supply. The omni.net USB also comes with RVS-COM Version 1.63 communication software which supports 14.4K G3 fax and data modem, and provides voice mail and fax functionality for users to set up their mobile message center.
