Established in 1934, Alcorn County Electric Power (ACE Power) was the first rural electric cooperative in America. The not-for-profit member-owned cooperative currently serves over 19,500 electric meters throughout Alcorn County, Mississippi.

ACE Power was looking to break into the telecommunications space with intense competition among existing service providers to meet high demands for fast, reliable broadband due to COVID pandemic.

ACE Power launched a new fiber service – ACE Fiber in August 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic as consumers demand a fast, reliable broadband connection for their sudden emerging needs of work-from-home, school-from-home, or even telemedicine.
The primary challenge ACE Power faced during launching the new fiber service was the intense competition among existing service providers. As an electric utility, ACE Power was lack of necessary knowledge to compete with large multimedia conglomerates.
The high-performance, easy-to-manage CPE and industry-best engineering support Zyxel offered helped ACE Power smoothly roll out the ACE Fiber Internet.

The rollout of ACE Fiber Internet went smoothly, and customers are more satisfied as they are getting the symmetrical service that they’re paying for.
