Zyxel doubles the impact on this year’s "Day of Giving"
It’s that time of year again when Zyxel North America employees power down their computers and step away from their desks to dedicate time to giving back to the community. This year, Zyxel U.S.’s traditional Day of Giving evolved into something even more impactful – two Days of Giving! Our U.S. team proudly participated in two meaningful events:
Blood drive with the American Red Cross – July 14
Held at Zyxel’s North America headquarters in Anaheim, CA, the team members rolled up their sleeves to participate in a company-wide blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross.
The employees came together with one shared goal: to help save lives. The turnout and enthusiasm were inspiring, and they are grateful for the dedication of everyone who took part.
A big thank-you to all the donors and the Red Cross team for facilitating the event. Every drop truly counts – and they are proud to support such a life-saving mission.
Beach cleanup at Seal Beach, CA – July 17
In partnership with Save Our Beach, Zyxel employees and their family members volunteered their time to help protect and restore the local coastline.
Armed with gloves and trash bags, our team combed the shores of Seal Beach and collected large amounts of debris, including foam, plastic bags, discarded toys, and even a tire.
The event welcomed volunteers of all ages – including their youngest helpers, who were just two years old, proudly joining their parents in the cleanup efforts. It was a heartwarming sight and a reminder that it’s never too early to make a difference.
“The Day of Giving is another way Zyxel not only gives back to our local community but also helps protect the environment. When we do beach clean-ups, we're constantly finding plastic and foam packaging, which can find its way into the ocean and other environments when not properly disposed of,” said Erik Jochums, Asst. Manager of Engineering at Zyxel U.S. “Zyxel is replacing plastic packaging with more sustainable solutions, reducing packaging size for more efficient shipping to reduce our carbon footprint, and using recycled plastic in the casings of our next-gen devices. We want to make the planet better and more sustainable for now and the future.”
From donating blood to restoring our beaches, the spirit of giving runs deep at Zyxel. They are proud to stand with the community, champion meaningful change, and leave a lasting impact – one "Day of Giving" at a time.
