Zyxel Networks unveils passwordless logins and AI-driven security to help businesses stay ahead of potential threats
HSINCHU, Taiwan, October 28, 2025—Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure and AI-powered cloud networking solutions, has announced new security features across its account and security services, including an industry-first Passkey login option and AI-driven security updates. These enhancements combine stronger security with simpler operations, empowering small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and managed service providers (MSPs) to respond faster to threats and defend more with less.
The growing cybersecurity challenge for SMBs
Earlier this year, the world witnessed the largest-ever data leak, exposing more than 16 billion login credentials to attacks. Although a recent survey revealed that 94% of SMBs recognize cybersecurity as critical, many remain under-equipped, relying on limited tools and expertise to safeguard their networks, leaving them especially vulnerable to costly breaches.
Protecting the first line of defense – faster and safer logins
Weak or reused passwords are where many breaches begin. To overcome this, Zyxel Networks is introducing Passkey login for Zyxel Account, an industry-first feature for SMBs that reduces risk without adding friction, and includes:
- Passwordless access: Sign in seamlessly through a fingerprint scan, face recognition, or device PIN to unlock devices. This means there are no passwords for malefactors to steal or phish.
- Broad coverage: Passkey extends to a wide range of Zyxel Networks’ service offerings, such as myZyxel, Nebula, SecuReporter, Astra, Circle, Marketplace, Store, Support Campus, Community, Education Center and more. Support for network applications, including WiFi and remote access VPN logins of Nebula Cloud Authentication for SMBs, will be added soon1.
- Flexible login choices: Passkey complements existing login options, including password plus multi-factor authentication, Google ID, Apple ID and Microsoft Entra ID, so organizations can adopt this new feature at their own pace.
AI-driven, actionable intelligence
With skilled security talent in short supply, Zyxel Networks is also embedding the following AI-driven features to detect, explain, and help SMBs and MSPs remediate threats faster, cutting down on manual review and lowering the skill barriers that often hold smaller teams back:
- AI-Protect with firewalls: SMBs and MSPs using the USG FLEX H series with uOS v1.36+ will benefit from machine learning to block zero-day attacks and AI-service threats, helping them move beyond signatures. Admins can identify and control thousands of applications and behaviors, including GenAI apps such as DeepSeek, ChatGPT and Gemini.
- AI-Monitor and AI-Assist with SecuReporter2: AI will monitor device health and abnormal CPU/memory/session usage, helping admins detect early signs of potential network outages or security breaches. Admins can schedule weekly threat reports with AI Smart Summary for quick executive readouts. An embedded AI assistant, SecuPilot, helps admins explore insights, investigate incidents, and triage faster with natural-language queries.
“SMBs are caught between rising cyber threats and limited resources,” said Mr. Ken Tsai, President of Zyxel Networks. “By combining passwordless access with AI-driven security, we’re easing that burden, enabling customers and MSP partners to stay secure and focus on growth. These new security capabilities are integrated across our broad portfolio and services, making deployment and ongoing management more efficient and less resource-intensive.”
