ZyXEL Recognized by R.O.C Council for Outstanding Achievements

HSINCHU, TAIWAN, September 30, 1998 - ZyXEL Communications Corp. today proudly announced that it has won four of the six Gold-Solid Awards from R.O.C Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The president of ZyXEL, Mr. Shin-Jou Fang was honored with the Solid-Gold Award for Asia-Pacific Contemporary Super Achievers in Entrepreneurs. On the products side, ZyXEL's ISDN TA Omni.net LCD, Prestige 100IH router, and Prestige 153X router received Solid-Gold Awards for the Asia-Pacific Contemporary Prime Quality Product, Excellent Quality Product, and Quality Assurance Product, respectively. These top honors once again demonstrate ZyXEL's continued excellence in developing innovative and quality products.

The Solid-Gold Award is offered annually by the Solid-Gold Award Committee of the Council to superior corporations and entrepreneurs to honor their special contributions and achievements in Taiwan. Of the six available awards offered in the Superior Enterprise and Superior Product categories for the communication industry, ZyXEL received four of them.

"Compared with similar products on market, ZyXEL's products have superior quality, higher performance, and can better meet users' needs," according to Professor Hsien-Chi Tseng, Chairman of the review committee, who wrote the award notice letter on behalf of the R.O.C Council. "With your superior achievement in Taiwan's communication industry, we believe that ZyXEL can be a good example for all of the enterprises."
