(TSE:2391), world's leading broadband access solution provider, today announced its MS-7206 Ethernet Modular Switch with excellent switching technology that satisfies the management need for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security on converged networks. MS-7206 is a 10U-height modular switch with a flexible modular architecture and full hot-swap capability that offers full redundancy. The built-in OSPF and VRRP ensure the fault-free services with automatic recovery, as well as sophisticated layer 2 to layer 4 protection that secure connectivity from the core to the edge.

ZyXEL MS- 7206 sports reliable non-stop hardware architecture with 6 module slots (2 switches and 4 I/O modules), dual power supplies and a removable fan to provide the highest scalability and resiliency. Compared to its competition, MS- 7206's dual active- active non-blocking 384Gbps switching capacity delivers industry-leading performance and switching technology. It's a 10/100/1000 Ethernet modular switch with IEEE 802.3 standard-based PoE (Power over Ethernet) capabilities and it supports up to 192-port Gigabit with optional standard-based PoE to complement and power new IP application devices, as well as other emerging network user devices. These new models will help enabling broader Gigabit and PoE deployment options with integrated security, availability and quality of service (QoS).
The excellent availability and resiliency of MS- 7206 minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The OSPF (Open Shortest-Path First Interior Gateway Protocol) ensures rapid determination of best routes to avoid routing loops. R-STP and M-STP provide resilience and prevent loops within VLANs. VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) ensures hosts (PCs) to enjoy uninterrupted service from the default gateway.
The multi-layer (L1/L2/L3/L4) provides efficient security protection for IP service delivery; MS- 7206 has an outstanding aggregate throughput as L2/L3/L4 processing is distributed in modules. When two switch fabrics are equipped, a maximum throughput of 384G is archived through to the non-blocking backplane.

- MI- 7248 48-port Gigabit copper I/O module offers high-density Gigabit copper aggregation and L2/L3/L4 local switching support for secured connectivity.
- MI- 7248PWR 48-port Gigabit copper PoE I/O module provides high-density PoE aggregation at full power and L2/L3/L4 local switching support for secured connectivity.
- MI- 7248TF 48-port Gigabit I/O module with 24-port 1000BaseT+24 SFP slots, 24 SFP slots for fiber connectivity and L2/L3/L4 local switching support for secured connectivity.
- MP- 7201 600W PSU for MS- 7206 system with dual active/active load-sharing design.
- MP- 7202 750W external PSU provides full 48-port PoE power for a MI-7248PWR. Its Isolated PoE and system power supply units increase system stability
