Zyxel Networks given Champion ranking for firewalls and VPNs in latest techconsult security survey

The company is ranked above all vendors that qualified for participation in the network firewall survey and is one of only six placed in the ‘PUR diamond’ for VPNs.

HSINCHU, Taiwan, 19 January 2026 - Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure and AI-powered cloud networking solutions, today announced that its firewall and VPN solutions have once again been awarded Champion status in the latest Professional User Ratings (PUR) survey covering security solutions from techconsult – the renowned independent German research and analysis organisation, and part of the Heise Group.

More than 4,400 security experts from user organisations took part in techconsult’s Professional User Rating: Security Solutions 2026 survey. To qualify as a techconsult Champion, products must receive high rankings for both Solution Excellence ratings and Company Excellence.

Zyxel Networks achieved the highest ranking amongst all the vendors selected for participation in the Network Firewalls category, with ten companies achieving Champion status. It was rated as one of the top two amongst the six vendors to be named as a Champion in the VPN report.

For the Network Firewalls report, Zyxel Networks ranked ahead of all other participants for ease of use and for product loyalty and recommendation. It was also top-rated for supplier satisfaction and as a sales partner. Its VPN solutions scored highest for ease of use and achieved high marks for functionality and for product loyalty and recommendation. In the VPN Vendor Ratings, Zyxel Networks came out on top for service and support, and for information, consultancy and training.

Vendors are shown within a ‘PUR diamond’ that visually depicts their ranking according to customer ratings of both products and services. Only vendors for which a sufficient number of positive interviews are received are included. The 2026 techconsult PUR diamond lists 23 vendors in the Network Firewalls category and 21 vendors in the VPNs category.
