Celebrating Zyxel's 35th anniversary by giving back to the community
In July 2024, the employees in Zyxel North America took a break from their professional lives to make a difference at the OC Food Bank in Garden Grove. In honor of Zyxel's 35th company anniversary and celebrating the 9th year of community service in Orange County, our U.S. team, along with their families, came together to do good deeds. The group split into two teams: one unsealed and stacked goods from pallets, while the other worked on the assembly line, packing boxes with cereals, peanut butter, pasta, canned goods, and more. These assembled boxes will support 25,500 low-income seniors monthly, distributed across over 70 sites in Orange County and surrounding areas.

The OC Food Bank
The U.S. team collaborated with OC Food Bank, a program of the Community Action Partnership of Orange County, that unites communities to combat hunger and malnutrition. By partnering with over 300 local charities, soup kitchens, and community organizations, they provide essential support. Through donated food, USDA commodities purchased food, the generous contributions of individuals, and assisting nonprofit agencies serving low-income families and individuals. Annually, this food bank distributes over 23 million pounds of food.
A Day of Impact
Over 70 Zyxel employees participated in assembling food packages for low-income seniors. The U.S. team successfully completed 31 pallets and 2,800 boxes.
Steve Oberle, the VP of Sales and founder of Day of Giving, remarked, "Every year, we look forward to giving back to the community. This just goes to show that our organization cares deeply. This year, as part of Zyxel's 35th global celebration and Zyxel's Anaheim 9th Day of Giving, we helped the OC Food Bank in Garden Grove. It was heartwarming to see families of our employees, from toddlers to Gen Zs, enthusiastically lend their time. It was a successful event, and I'm proud to be part of this organization."
