Amid Lockdown, German Red Cross Installs Zyxel Networks Devices Without Need of On-site Help

The Red Cross has been helping people in need since 1863. Early this year, however, the German Red Cross in Oberbergischer Kreis were the ones who needed help – and they needed it fast. It had a new facility, but with COVID-19 having thrown the country into lockdown, it couldn’t get the expertise necessary to install the site’s network. However, with the help of its system integrator Bien Network and solution provider Zyxel Networks, the Red Cross was able to complete the installation easily and rapidly while conforming to governmental restrictions. Here’s how we helped accomplish this mission impossible.

The district association received network equipment from Zyxel Networks free of charge, and this has yielded a network that is modern and flexible. This comprehensive network solution has helped us establish LAN connections between workstations and enabled WiFi access for mobile devices. A special highlight of the system is the integrated hotspots, which make it possible to establish an internet connection on the go.
