Cameroon has a bright future. Among Africa’s top 20 in population and GDP, its economy is driven by exports, including of oil, lumber, cocoa, and coffee. The young nation is working hard to expand its reach and ties around the globe. On the front line of this effort are the diplomatic staff doing the nitty-gritty: facilitating payments, notarizing documents, and issuing visas. But for the workers at Cameroon’s Turkish consulate, the growing interest in their country made for growing pains in their network. The cure? A hybrid solution salvaging the old cable-heavy network and complimenting it with WiFi powered by Zyxel access points.
