ZyXEL Debuts Industry's First AV2000 Pass-Through Powerline Adapter

Plug and Play Connectivity Designed for 4K Video Streaming and Gaming

Dec. 15, 2015 – Hsinchu, Taiwan – ZyXEL Communications, a global leader in broadband networking technology, today announced the industry’s first AV2000 Powerline 2-port Gigabit Pass-through Ethernet Adapter (PLA5456). The new plug and play connectivity solution is designed for seamless 4K video streaming and online gaming at home with better coverage and faster performance over 1800 Mbps*.

Tailored for homes looking for an adequate solution for bandwidth-hungry entertainment activities, ZyXEL’s PLA5456 offers instant plug-and-play integration with existing power outlets and is capable of providing 4K video streaming grade speed to wired network devices with smooth connectivity.

Utilizing the latest AV2-MIMO and Quality of Service (QoS) technology means the PLA5456 delivers fast connection to multiple devices in any room simultaneously. Multiple wired devices can be connected via two Gigabit Ethernet ports to the PLA5456. The AC pass-through plug design allows users to use power outlets even with the PLA5456 plugged into the wall. The PLA5456 comes equipped with a one-touch encryption button for fast and simple security setup.
