Zyxel’s Innovative Repeater Turns One Bar into Three and Brings Dead Zones to Life in Beijing Basement Office

For a city that’s about 3,000 years old, Beijing is still changing quite a bit. In addition to residential buildings shooting up like bamboo, the capital, like the rest of China, is still making strides in its telecommunications infrastructure. For real estate developer BCDC, these two phenomena came together recently, as employees at a sales center for an under-construction residential community found themselves unable to use the web or make phone calls from the basement-level office space. Needing to squeeze usable coverage out of a single-bar signal, BCDC knew a solution more innovative than local options was necessary. With some help from Zyxel and our SymmRepeater Enterprise indoor distribution antenna system, that one bar of coverage is now three. Here’s how.

Zyxel Network has been a fantastic partner, especially with their pre-sales tech support and responsive services. They really made this project a worry-free experience for us by helping with the on-site survey, mapping proper solutions in detail, and running installation tests. And then the actual solution itself really came through – the client has a reliable and high-performance DAS system that delivers strong signals and powerful features. It provides an excellent user experience, and because of that, our customer is more than satisfied with the solution.
