15 July 2010 – Zyxel Communications (TSE: 2391), the world's leading broadband access solutions provider, today, announces that its VDSL2 switches and CPE/IAD products have been certificated for a IPv6 Ready Logo Phase II by the IPv6 Forum. This certification makes Zyxel the world's first to receive an IPv6 Ready Logo Phase II for VDSL2 switches and CPE/IAD products in the market.
The continuous growth of the global Internet requires that its overall architecture evolve to accommodate new technologies that support an expanding numbers of users, applications, appliances and services. With the remaining number of IPv4 addresses available in the global pool down to approximately 6%, the newer IPv6 protocol is designed to meet these ever increasing global requirements and those of our customers, who are rapidly facing the inevitable transition from IPv4 to IPv6. Several leading networked countries, such as USA, Germany, France, Japan and Brazil are aggressively deploying IPv6 to meet the growing demand in their countries.

The IPv6 Forum (http://www.ipv6forum.com) IPv6 Ready Logo Program is a conformance and interoperability testing program intended to increase user confidence by demonstrating that IPv6 is available now and is ready to be used. A product that has passed all of the test items demonstrates its compliance to the "Conformance" and "Interoperability" to the standard.
