Hsinchu, Taiwan, September 23, 2026 - Zyxel Communications, a leading provider of broadband solutions to service providers worldwide, today announced that its full-stack prplWare Wi-Fi 7 gateway moved into commercial deployment with DNA in May 2026. DNA is one of Finland’s leading telecommunications operators and part of Telenor Group. The deployment places Zyxel and DNA among the first to bring prplWare and Wi-Fi 7 together in a live service-provider network, moving prpl from industry strategy to operational reality.

prpl separates the software layer from the underlying hardware, enabling service providers to use a common software environment across different hardware platforms and chipset generations. This separation gives service providers greater choice as they evolve their broadband networks while reducing dependency on individual vendors or platforms.
The DNA deployment features Zyxel's EE3110 BE5000 dual-band and EE4600 BE19000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 gateways, built on MediaTek Filogic 7800 and 7600 platforms. Both models can operate as gateways or extenders, giving service providers greater flexibility in how they deploy Wi-Fi throughout the home.

Zyxel joined the prpl Foundation in 2022, and the EE4600 gateway received prplWare and High-Level API certification in April 2026. The deployment with DNA Finland marks another step in bringing Zyxel’s prpl strategy into live service-provider networks.
