Combat-proven software-defined radio (SDR) systems
Zyxel provides a full spectrum of military-grade software-defined radio (SDR) operating across HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF bands. These radios support flexible deployment across military vehicles, naval vessels, fixed installations, dismounted soldier systems, and unmanned platforms.
To date, over 20,000 anti-jamming secure SDR units have been deployed across national defence forces worldwide, demonstrating high reliability, operational stability, and adaptability in demanding battlefield environments.
High-performance data links for unmanned systems
Tailored for modern unmanned aerial and maritime platforms, Zyxel’s broadband data link radios are compact, power-efficient, and resilient to electronic interference.
The systems support short-, mid-, and long-range communication requirements, enabling stable command-and-control links and high-quality video transmission even in contested electromagnetic environments. Advanced Counter-UAV defence system
Zyxel’s next-generation, modular Counter-UAV defence system integrates active radar, passive sensing technologies, electronic countermeasures, and a command-and-control (C2) platform to enable real-time drone detection, localization, identification, and mitigation.
The system supports soft-kill countermeasures through electronic jamming and can be integrated with radar- and EO/IR-guided high-speed interceptor unmanned platforms for hard-kill engagement, enabling a layered air defence architecture.
Built on a highly modular and scalable architecture, the solution can adapt to diverse drone threat scenarios, protecting critical infrastructure and high-value assets from evolving UAV threats.
Next-generation electronic warfare and direction finding
Zyxel continues to expand its expertise in electronic warfare systems, developing technologies such as digital beamforming and real-time detection, tracking, and identification of ultra-wideband communication and radar signals. These capabilities enhance electromagnetic situational awareness in complex and contested environments.
For direction-finding applications, Zyxel has developed proprietary monopulse and interferometer algorithms optimized for high-speed frequency-hopping transmission environments, enabling high-precision angle-of-arrival (AoA) measurements of emitting sources.
Zyxel also offers a real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) radar target simulation system, capable of generating diverse radar scenarios—including true targets, multiple false targets, clutter, and denial-and-deception signals. The system supports multi-scenario simulation and performance validation throughout radar development, integration, and pre-deployment testing.
