Zyxel VPN Firewalls Create Secure, High-speed Connection Between Central Office and Data Center for Russian IT Service Company

Forton had three major requirements in upgrading their network infrastructure and security. They wanted to increase the bandwidth of the VPN tunnel and solve problems with routing networks between two remote locations. Besides, they needed to create a remotely manageable wireless network in the office. QOS configuration, SD-WAN testing, and implementation of cloud DNS are other important tasks. Zyxel Networks and another leading American company were in competition for this project. Finally, the choice fell on Zyxel Network due to the project leader Alexander Gagarin using Zyxel’s U-1496E modem and being impressed by its reliability. The better price to quality ratio was also an important factor. Zyxel VPN100 and VPN300 firewalls were deployed in the central office and data center respectively. The VPN firewalls protect users from unsafe networks and secure data against cyberattack. The headquarter and the data center now can communicate through encrypted VPN tunnels to ensure maximum security. The installation and configuration of equipment was carried out on their own and took only one day. After the implementation, the company was satisfied with the results and are considering more Zyxel equipment like switches, APs and Nebula cloud networking solution to help them easily manage their system remotely.
