Effortless Login with Enhanced Security

Unleash Unparalleled User-Friendly Experience

When users log on to their computers in the network, they usually need to enter their username and password. If you're using Zyxel security appliances with Active Directory authentication, to control outgoing network traffic to specified users or groups, an additional login step is required to access network resources or the Internet. This means users must manually log in again to authenticate with the Zyxel security firewalls.

But with Single Sign-On (SSO), you can streamline this process. SSO allows users on trusted or optional networks to enter their credentials just once when logging into their computers. They are then automatically authenticated to our firewalls*, granting them access to network resources and Internet without the need for additional logins.

*: Single sign-on feature is included in our Network Premium service and supported by ATP, USG FLEX and USG20(W)-VPN series firewalls.

Seamless Access Made Simple with Single Sign-On

Say farewell to the inconvenience of multiple logins! Our Single Sign-On (SSO) feature enables you to avoid repetitive logins across different web browsers while effortlessly accessing network resources and Internet. With just one authentication when logging into your computer, our SSO login mechanism handles the rest. Unlock a more efficient and secure login process with SSO, included in our Network Premium service and supported by ATP, USG FLEX and USG20(W)-VPN series firewalls.

The Advantages of Single Sign-On

Simplified single sign on to multiple resources

Improved user experience without repetitive logins in various web browsers

Login mechanism works with any protocol not just HTTP

Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) on Domain Controller

Install the SSO agent on a Microsoft Active Directory* domain controller server in your network and configure the corresponding settings on the firewall. The SSO agent will run as a domain user account with domain admin privileges.

The SSO agent is responsible for querying and forwarding user credentials to the firewall whenever users authenticate to the network domain. It also checks domain server logs to obtain login user, group, and IP information, which it then communicates to the firewall. Please ensure that you install the SSO agent using a user account that has domain admin privileges to ensure seamless functionality.

*: Microsoft Active Directory versions: Windows 2016/2019/2022 Server
