Office Networking Tips

Question:
What does a hybrid Access Point (AP) do? Why I should choose this instead of regular wireless controllers or other wireless access points?

Answer:
A hybrid Access Point (AP) lets you to flexibly expand your wireless coverage as you scale your business. Unlike other single mode APs, a hybrid AP can be switched between three modes: Standalone, Managed, and Controller. In the Standalone mode, a single AP provides wireless LAN connectivity to roaming clients. In the Controller mode, an AP can centrally manage all other access points in the network. In the Managed mode, it can be combined with other APs to form a mesh network. When your business grows, you can easily boost your coverage, by switching a hybrid AP from Standalone to Managed or Controller mode without investing in another AP.
