Today, millions of buildings around the world need to bring cellular signals inside. Midsized buildings, in particular, have been massively underserved. All this is growing the IBS market—fast.

IBS Coverage

IBS has long since saturated highly visible public venues like airports and stadia. There is also an endless selection of IBS products for the home. However, a highly functional, easily installable and affordable solution for the middle market has never appeared—until now, with Zyxel.



Zyxel’s DAS solutions combine simple yet highly capable units through special use of CAT5 technology. Simplifying previous designs, each system uses one ZoneDAS or SlimDAS Base Unit (BU) to control and power multiple Remote Units (RU) for coverage. Optional Extenders double RU deployment range and multiply supported RUs. Each system supports multiple independent 20 MHz-wide channels / bands / operators, multiple coverage zones (each up to 2,500m2), and a complete set of real-time software control.

  • Adds connectivity (including power) for up to 8 more RUs

  • Directly controlled by the host BU

  • Provides up to 2500m2 of cellular coverage

  • Easy CAT deployment, up to 100m from host Extender/BU
