Tier 3 Support Engineer


Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and hard-working professional who can fill in the role of Tier 3 support engineer. The selected candidate will address advanced pre and post sales technical cases and serve as the liaison between our customer and our development team. Other responsibilities include product quality assurance, setting up network environments to replicate customer problems and training. Our customer base is Telephone companies and Internet Service Providers. Focus for our support revolves around DSL, Ethernet, PON, Wifi, VoIP, TR069 and IPTV.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Address advanced pre and post sales technical cases and support projects for key account customers
  • Provide resolutions to technical issues for customers
  • Setup network environment to replicate customer issues
  • Create technical tickets to report validated issues to Zyxel R&D and provide resulting resolutions to customers
  • Engage with customers who are evaluating the Zyxel products to ensure a smooth experience
  • Travel to customer’s locations for the purposes of troubleshooting and training
  • Support product managers by testing products for features and performance
  • Support our Sales team by addressing technical inquiries from customers via phone, email or by travelling onsite for more in-depth technical discussions
  • Support our Marketing team by setting up products and solutions demonstrations at Telco and ISP events

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of the following: TCP/IP Protocol, OSI Model and its application in broadband technologies, LAN and WAN Networking, Routing and Switching and VPN/Firewall.
  • Must also have general knowledge of the following: DSL technology, PON technology, Ethernet technology, TR069, IPTV, Windows, Linux, OSX.
  • Degree or IT certification (BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, CCNA, MCSE, Network+ etc.)
  • 5+ years of technical support experience preferably on broadband products and Telco/ISP applications • Good verbal and email communication skills
  • Flexibility on work schedule
  • Productive, detail oriented, organized, and team Player

QA Engineer


Job Summary

We are looking for a detail oriented and hard-working professional who can fill the role of a Quality Assurance Engineer. The selected candidate will perform advanced broadband CPE testing and features analysis to confirm new and current features performance and their compliance to the industry standards. The candidate should be capable of configuring WAN, WLAN and LAN networks to validate and troubleshoot customer’s reports, submit analysis reports and provide internal training on the operation of different features. Our customer base are Internet Service Providers and Telephone companies; while our products portfolio includes xDSL/Ethernet/PON routers, switches, WiFi standalone and MESH systems, LTE routers and firewalls.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Interpretation analysis of standards from the Broadband Forum, IETF, IEEE, ITU, the WiFi Alliance, CE and other institutions for their correct implementation.
  • Develop test plans in accordance with the standards requirements.
  • Perform advance testing of xDSL, Ethernet, PON, WiFi, VoIP, IPTV, security, LTE, MoCA and TR069 features to verify performance requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Perform products stability, stress and performance tests.
  • Perform new firmware quality assurance tests.
  • Provide analysis reports on finding, provide recommendations and resolutions.
  • Train colleagues and internal departments about product features, implementations and configuration.
  • Manage technical ticket system to submit new feature requests, feature change requests and report software/hardware problems with Zyxel HQ.
  • Some domestic and international travel is required.
  • Work with product managers to ensure product feature continuity between product lines and their performance.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of the following: TCP/IP Protocol, OSI Model and their application in routing, switching and broadband technologies like WAN, WLAN and LAN Networking.
  • Must also have knowledge of the following technologies: xDSL, PON, Ethernet, TR069, VoIP, IPTV, MoCA, VPN, Security, Windows, Linux, OSX and MS Office.
  • Degree or IT certification (BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, CCNA, MCSE, Network+).
  • Knowledge about how to use testing tools and equipment like: xdsl line simulators, noise injectors, traffic generators, spectrum analyzers, speed test tools, security evaluation software and packet sniffer tools.
  • Should be capable of perform tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience preferably on broadband products and Telco/ISP applications.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and preset oral presentations to colleagues, customers and senior management.
  • Flexibility on work schedule.
  • Productive, detail oriented, organized and team player.

Job Summary

We’re looking for someone who is a motivated and effective analyst and planner with wide knowledge and experience in digital marketing. The Marketing Analyst will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to perform data inventory management and assist with campaign productions. This role has primary responsibilities for marketing campaigns, tradeshow events management, sales promotions, social media result analysis.

Business Development Director, Telco/LTE


Job Summary

Zyxel Communications, a leading supplier of secure broadband networking and Internet connectivity & routing products designed for Broadband Service Providers, is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Business Development Director to penetrate and grow LTE solutions within Broadband Service Providers across North America.

Primary Job Functions

  • Responsible for the overall management of all LTE and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities
  • Provide LTE market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets. Provide project information to the company leadership regarding customer or prospect deployment plans.
  • Work with Zyxel’s LTE resale partner (s) to position company and products where necessary.
  • Setting up introductory and/or follow up meetings with the appropriate LTE decision-makers, including the use of the candidates existing relationships and/or cold calling when necessary.
  • Candidate will have the strong capability to break open new opportunities with initial account development responsibilities, but then handing off the accounts to Zyxel’s established Account Management Team.
  • Provide Market and Competitive Analysis
  • Plan & Organize technical and sales training for new customers and seek new sales opportunities and contacts
  • Participate in Sales Trade Shows or other Sales and Marketing events as required

Skills & Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 10 to 20 years’ experience (ideally) working directly with national, regional Mobile Carriers, ISPs, MSO, and/or Telcos
