Data transfer over power line is performing in encrypted form: if your neighbor buys himself the same type of adaptor and attempts to intercept the traffic in your network, he will be disappointed. Multicast-traffic support allows an IPTV and other broadcast services. Moreover, the speed of HomePlug AV is higher than those of Wi-Fi standards.
