Unbeatable Wireless Performance with Dead Spot-Free Coverage
November 14, 2006

Hsinchu, November 14, 2006 -- ZyXEL Communications Corp. (TSE: 2391), the world's largest residential gateway provider (In-State, 2006), today unveils company's first Draft 802.11n Wireless Router, NBG-415N, that delivers much faster wireless connection and wider coverage area while remaining compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g devices. The NGB-415N is geared towards home and small office users wishing to set up an Internet sharing network with wireless connectivity at breakneck speed.

Based on the Draft IEEE 802.11n technology, the NBG-415N can efficiently pinpoint client computers and adjust the radio signals for the optimum performance. In addition, the NBG-415N can effectively reduce dead spots and provide up to 4 times the coverage area than an IEEE 802.11a or 802.1g device.

To provide the most stringent protection for both wired and wireless connections, the NBG-415N supports WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access) with AES, as well as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall. The VPN pass-through feature on the NBG-415N allows users to establish secure connections between remote locations. To restrict access, use the friendly web-based configuration tool to customize content filters on the NBG-415N.

With the built-in StreamEngineTM bandwidth management feature, the NGB-415N allows users to run multiple applications without degrading performance, thus ensures QoS. This gives users smooth video streaming, fast file transfer and responsive online gaming experience.

For users with Windows XP Service Pack 2, setting up a wireless network never gets easier than now with a USB storage device and the Microsoft Windows Connect Now (WCN) feature on the NBG-415N. Users no longer have to configure each wireless client using any utility tools.
