From its establishment to 1988, ZyXEL concentrated on R&D and quality improvement more than industrial design. As consumer electronics become more popular, product aesthetics plays a more important role than ever. In response to this, ZyXEL collaborated with I+U, a well-known design company, to design the newest ISDN Router (PRESTIGE 202) in 1988 and developed the first set of Product Identify Elements to emphasize the style. Although the appearance has been changed, ZyXEL products are still superior in both technology and quality.
